How It All Began
A Personal Journey
My name is Kelly, the owner behind Goldenrod Herbal Co! This shop has been a long time coming, given the journey that brought me here. Throughout my childhood and into my college days, I had a love for nature and caring for plants of all kinds. I was also that kid who was picking up rocks anytime my family and I went somewhere. Into adulthood, those small passions never went away. I find myself back to exploring my love for plants and crystals on a way deeper level.
Fast-forward to 2023, I had no choice but to have a health and wellness "awakening" you could say. I felt so lost and alone in my journey to balance my health, I could feel and SEE my health taking a downturn, but was given the same dead-end responses. Eventually my health turned for the worse - I was left with multiple mysterious symptoms that 10+ doctors couldn't figure out what was going on. I decided then that I need to take things into my own hands and started looking into natural remedies and lifestyle changes that I could use to support my overall wellness.
While doing so, I sought out a naturopathic doctor who really took my holistic wellness into account and supported me in my journey. I learned so much from her in addition to my personal research. Eventually we got my health sorted out and came up with lifestyle approaches to maintain overall balance. Since then, I have been passionate about sharing my personal knowledge, research, and overall natural health tools for supporting others on their wellness journeys.
I am now at a point in my journey that my love and passion for natural wellness grows more and more each day, as well as explore self-care rituals that support the mind-body connection!

The Woman Behind

Originally from Minnesota, I’ve always felt a deep connection to nature - whether wandering the woods around me or at the family cabin, hiking local trails, or taking a moment outdoors, letting the sights and sounds of nature fill me. My childhood love of collecting rocks has blossomed into a lifelong fascination with crystals and their energies, and my home is a reflection of that passion.
At one point, I had over 300 houseplants, each with its own personality, and today I continue to nurture them alongside my thriving garden of herbs and vegetables. Gardening allows me to be present with the bees and trees, noticing the beauty and life all around. My partner and I share our home with four spirited kitties - Rory, Willow, Zeus, and Poseidon, who keep life lively and full of love. Everything I create at Goldenrod Herbal Co. is rooted in this love of nature, curiosity, and care for the little details that make life feel grounded and magical.
